Applications must be received by March 1, of current festival year.

 

 

Penticton Kiwanis Music, Dance and Speech Arts Festival would like to recognize a well-rounded performer; demonstrated by registration in multiple disciplines.

 

For any aged youth registered in Three (3) or more Solo Entry Disciplines of Penticton Kiwanis Music Festival.

 

Any combination of registration in 3 Disciplines of: Classical/Modern Dance, Stage Dance, Classical Voice, Musical Theatre, Pianoforte, Speech Arts, Strings, Woodwind, Brass or Guitar. (Classical Dance and Modern Dance qualify as one discipline).

 

 

Application must include

• Name
• Address
• a list of confirmed entries (Discipline, Category/Title, comp #)
• a short essay of what involvement in the Performing Arts means to you (250 words or less)

 

Winners of the Scholarship will be selected by a panel of board members and presented at the Highlights Concert.

 

CLASSICAL SECTION, MAJOR

 

Candidate 11 years and over must enter THREE of the following:
ONE Ballet (Demi-Pointe or Pointe), and TWO selections from Demi-Pointe, Pointe, Neo-Classical, Contemporary Ballet, Demi-character/ Character, Interpretive Ballet, Character-National.

 

RUNNER-UP CLASSICAL SECTION, MAJOR

Candidate 11 years and over must enter THREE of the following:
ONE Ballet (Demi-Pointe or Pointe), and TWO selections from Demi-Pointe, Pointe, Neo-Classical, Contemporary Ballet, Demi-character/ Character, Interpretive Ballet, Character-National.

 

CLASSICAL SECTION, MINOR

 

Candidate 11 years and over must enter TWO of the following:
ONE Ballet (Demi-Pointe or Pointe), and ONE selection from Demi-Pointe, Pointe, Neo-Classical, Contemporary Ballet, Demi-character/ Character, Interpretive Ballet, Character-National.

DALE CHARLES MEMORIAL BURSARY

Must enter Classical Dance in any solo category; Stage Dance in any solo category: Ballet and Modern Technique Classes and one of the Stage Dance Technique Classes.

MEDALLIONS

 

Medallions are awarded to the individual(s) with the highest mark at the end of each session. All performers in the same session are eligible, regardless of category or age. Solos, duos, trios will receive a medallion each participant. Groups will receive one medallion for the group.
