Penticton Kiwanis Music, Dancr and Speech Arts Festival will be celebrating its 100th Anniversay in 2026. The festival owes its longevity and success to an ongoing team of volunteers dedicated to providing young artists the opportunity to explore and showcase their talents.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and there's a variety of ways volunteers can participate.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Board Member
PKMF board is comprised of volunteers. New members are welcome at our AGM in October. Meetings occur on the second Tuesday of each month @ 9:00 am. Meeting run for approximately 2.0 hrs.
Members at Large
Attend meetings when able, assist with specific tasks, such as poster creation. Can join at any time of the year. Supportive member, with chosen level of commitment.
Adjudicator Secretary
Sit at the official desk beside adjudicator. Assist the adjudicator with the festival paperwork including certificates and mark sheets. Detail orientated and clean penmanship is an asset. Time commitment is 3.5 hrs. for one session.
A great way to experience the festival. We will train you!
Venue Volunteer
Greet participants and audience members at the venue entrances or front desk.
Keep order and foster a positive environment for both participants and observers.
May be responsible for the opening and closing of a venue. Time commitment is 3.5hrs for one session
Adjudicator Driver
Need a vehicle. Transport the adjudicators between festival venues and their hotel or possibly the airport to hotel (for arrival and departure). Time commitment approximately 15-30mins.
Backstage Dance
Runner: Assist with playing CDs, prop placement, keeping order and updating schedules. Monitoring and assisting participants. Time commitment 3.5, wear running shoes- very little sitting involved.
Announcer: Introduce dancers and categories. Sitting at a microphone. Commitment is 3.5hrs per session.
