2021 Festival will proceed with Covid-19 Safety guidelines in place.

COVID Cancellation Policy: Entry fee refunds will be provided only in the event that an entire section of the festival (e.g., Dance, Instrumental, Piano, Speech & Drama, Vocal) is cancelled before the section is scheduled to begin due to COVID-related restrictions following BC Health requirements. Refunds will be provided if there is a change in the format of a section of the festival (e.g., from in-person to virtual) for any that request it. 


Practices for Participants


Handwashing Stations. Stations with sanitizer will be provided at all points of ingress and other well-marked and illuminated locations throughout the venue. Washrooms are available with running water and soap. Volunteers will monitor clean hand stations, upon participants arrival.


Ingress staggered to minimize lines and patron receive scheduled arrival times. Chalk markings outside and tape markings inside to help direct arrival. Please sign in and complete health screening on arrival, for all entering the building. Maximum 50 allowed in the venue. Audience restricted; recommended only one adult supervising younger aged participants. Please wear masks inside the venue. 


Health Screening. Outside the venue perimeter, a volunteer wearing a face covering, gloves,  will take the temperature of every patron and conduct a brief visual screening for symptoms of fever or infection. Name, contact phone and temperature will be recorded for contact tracing, and destroyed after 30 days. 


Changerooms  are not available. Participants need to be responsible for their own bagged items and place in designated areas. Please label any water bottles. Washrooms are not available as changerooms. Please come prepared to perform. 


Scheduled Egress from Back to Front. Patrons nearest the exits should leave first, by row or section, to clear space for patrons further inside to follow.  Volunteers to ensure that patrons understand the procedure and comply with social distancing requirements until they are outside the venue doors.


Seating Areas will be available to participants (and one accompanying adult for those requiring supervision) and accompanists. Marked sections of pews or theatre seats will be closed off to create distance. Where possible, seating will be removed. Markings on floors to indicate traffic patterns where necessary.


Music Books will not be collected. Paper photocopies with Participants name and entry details to be indicated at the top of page. All copies will be collected at entry by volunteer. Copies to be destroyed at closure of the discipline.


Closure of Dressing Rooms and Practice Rooms. Participants will arrive prepared to perform. Dancers will have an area designated for stretching. 


No Intermission. No food sales. No merchandise sales.
